- SES can conduct energy assessments (walk-through audits) for buildings that don’t qualify for the ACU/SES Energy Conservation for Non-Profit Organizations.
- SES can calculate energy savings you have achieved from energy retrofits.
- SES has cooperated with various organizations coordinating national programs within Saskatchewan.
Real Life Examples:
- SES’ Energy Conservation Projects Coordinator (Angie Bugg, P.Eng.) is experienced in using RETScreen and is a member of the RETScreen International Network of Experts. RETScreen is a software package that is used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. It is used to model renewable energy technologies, and energy conservation retrofits. Angie had modeled 6 small and medium Saskatchewan buildings and used RETScreen to model potential energy savings in the buildings. Three of these facilities have gone on to apply for and be approved for ecoEnergy funding from Natural Resources Canada. She has worked with stores, churches, manufacturing facilities, and restaurants.
- SES can conduct energy assessments (walk-through audits) for buildings that don’t qualify for the ACU/SES Energy Conservation for Non-Profit Organizations.
- SES can calculate energy savings you have achieved from energy retrofits. For example, the Confederation Inn have been working hard to reduce their energy consumption. A combination of behaviour and technical changes has helped them achieve 30% savings in their overall utility costs. SES used energy bills and weather data to calculate electricity, gas and water consumption savings. Click here (PDF) to learn more about the Energy Savings at the Confederation Inn.
SES has cooperated with various organizations coordinating national programs within Saskatchewan. For example SES coordinated the Clean Air Achievers Champions for the One-Tonne Challenge for two years. This program brought national team athletes into schools to motivate students to take the federal government’s One-Tonne Challenge. When that program ended, we coordinated their Clean Air Achievers program for one year. Clean Air Achievers uses national team athletes to motivate students to use active transportation.
