Energy

“Being environmentally responsible in our energy use doesn’t mean that we have to “freeze in the dark”.

- Ann Coxworth

Worldwide and in Saskatchewan, safe, sustainable renewable energy is making a breakthrough as the seriousness of the impacts of fossil fuel use becomes clearer. The SES has produced policy on sustainable energy options for Saskatchewan, offers a host of energy conservation training and education opportunities and gives talks on the alternatives.

WHAT WE DO

Nuclear Power

Would nuclear power be a good choice for Saskatchewan? Like so many people in the province today you may be asking this question and have come here to find information to help you answer this question. SES has two helpful documents and some links to other credible resources on our nuclear power page.

Oil Sands

Oil sands development in Saskatchewan should be paused immediately so that appropriate planning and regulatory processes can be put in place before further development occurs. Working with PEMBINA, SES released a report calling for a more strategic approach for Saskatchewan’s future.
